i have decided that the reason i become such a pain at or should i say at the end of Christmas is because i can't under stand why we can't be nice and wonderful to each other all year round and not on just one day!!!! not too keen on birthdays either for the very same reason. what do you think? we work so hard to get this one day of the year right and hey it always is but i think it would be just as grand if we did nothing and just let it happen . hey the geeza with his misses looking for a room for the night wasn't spending all his waking hours trying to get this one day just the best ever now did he? no. he was just looking for a room so his wife could have their baby..........strange creatures we are!!!! everyday is the best day ever and every hour and every minute and every second!!! hey i can be a fickle like and then next man so don't get me wrong just enjoy you and yours every day, every minute and every second!!!! and now i will get off my soap box and till next time....................it's not that i know everything but.........................

Well hello again. One of my many nieces just used the quote "such is life" as a comment on Facebook and it got me a thinking.

Now we all know that our friend from the west and soon to be Richmond football team member, (we hope that is), Benny boy has this quote tattooed on his belly and o'what a lovely belly that is but I digress. It was also said to have been the last words spoken by Ned Kelly just before he was hung for murder, a murder he freely admitted to!!! Though some current historians what to make this fellow much more than the simple dumb robber, (see I can be nice), that he was!!!

Now it is the use of quotes that I wish to have a chat about today.

Do we use quotes much today and if so do we use them correctly???

We all can remember the former Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser, (oops I lost me trousers), saying during another recession we weren't having that "life was not meant to be easy". Now hearing that and taking it in you would think right, life is tough get over it and get on with it!!

Yes???

Now the full quote is I believe "like was not meant to be easy but then it can be quite wondrous". Now doesn't that leave you with a whole different feeling and thought process?? It does me. It makes me feel up lifted and happy. It says that it doesn't matter what life can through at you, that life can and IS wondrous and that IT will be alright in the end!!'

So if you do use a quote use it correctly, if ya can, cause words both spoken and written are more powerful than all the bombs and bullets in the world. They can harm greatly but more importantly they can help and save, foster greatness, make the weak strong and just make this old world of ours a happy and better place.

But then it's not that i know everything...............but??

P.S. can one start and finish a sentence with a but???? Though clearly you can cause I just did!!!

Well here we go my first "official" blog, now wont this be fun. Or will it? You will never know it may be a horror story for you and for me!!!

Well today, I think I finished my Christmas shopping and later after I have completed this I will be doing my Christmas cards. Another fun chore to do, not because the sending of Christmas wishes to my family and friends but the time it takes to find all those addresses for another year!!! It just takes it out of you does it not??

Anywho this brings me to my subject today. What does Christmas mean to you? I know what it means to me. It means the birth of Christ and Son of God and the geeza who will one day save all our sorry souls. Good, bad or indifferent all will saved. Now that is political correctness for you! Just love that big guy upstairs, or out there or over there or back there, everywhere really.

Well apart from the above what else does Christmas mean to you??

Catching up with family and friends the passing on of all the love you can even more so than you do the rest of every other day of the year.

It's the birthday of someone we all know.

Now I know birthdays are not everyone's cup of tea never been a fan myself but don't forget the my birthday @ Trev and Helen's this year Countdown to a Party an event not to be missed I say!!!

But what else?? I think you need to tell me as I need to know you thoughts as it may well give me greater insight.

mmm now is this like writing in a diary or it like writing on a wall both real and imagined or may be like gosh i could go on and on but i wont as i have never done any of those i have always kept my own council in my head but arrrrr what a head you might say big headed and for some of you (of course that is if there is anyone reading this) YES big headed does come to mind but i know you are just being kind anywho my jottings will about many things and nothings (is there such a word but then i am not going to use any punctuation or grammer good or write spelling either so who knows i might even make up new words that will be taken up by the wonderful english language of ours) but again i digress seeeeeee what this blog is going to be like here there and everywhere and those who have had a conversation with me you would already know this but then i digress let us just say hold on and enjoy the ride o'and buy the way i do use the "royal" we a lot so don't take offense or will be off to the tower with you !!!!!
